The first setup steps

*It is advised to maintain a uniform naming and coding convention across the entire project, this allows you to readily identify Vendor submissions, for example: Client code (Shell = SHL), Project code (Deep Water Platform = DWP), Document Code (Fire Water Pumps Package = FWP). This should be documented already as part of your number and coding convention specification.

The Document Name should be the equipment package you are assigning to the Vendor, for example - Fire Water Pumps.

The Document Type will be the type of register you are sending to the Vendor, for example: Asset Register, Spare Parts Register, Hose register, Hazardous Area register etc.. Select from the master template register list and you will modify the fields at a later stage of setup. If a template doesn't suit you can create a new Master Template, AssetNet can assist you with this.

The template register drop-down list is for you to select the template you will customise for the Vendor to fill in for his equipment package, for example: a Fire Water Pumps package will require an Asset Register template. Once filled in select add.

A newly created Document will now be visible at the very bottom of the page and is also now in the document register under the documents tab.

Once at the bottom of the page you can select edit to modify the discipline tables and cells of data you want from the Vendor. If you don't want one of the discipline tables you can delete from the document, for example you don't require Subsea discipline for a Fire Water Pumps package.
