Importing Data

You can export the entire document to excel or enter directly into the cells within the system. one completed you can then import the data table back into the system.

If you wish to enter your initial data set within excel then select - export and an excel document will save to your local drive. NOTE: this should only be done ONCE at the first revision, for all following revisions data must be entered into the system directly as below.

Once exported save the export as the file name allocated to it (do not change the file name as the system needs to recognise it for import). Choose a location on your drive or desktop.

Export

Once exported all the discipline tables will be within excel and it will open, if not check your blocked sites (top right and allow). NOTE: Do not change the format of the sheet, do not delete or add any columns. You may add rows only if needed and all cells should have a value, if not applicable then enter NA into the cell row.

Once you have completed as much data as you have available across all disciplines for Revision A, save the excel sheet into a location on your desktop. Always save as the name the AssetNet system has given to the sheet.

Import

You can now select Import within the document table on AssetNet. The system will ask you for the file location. Select the file and AssetNet will start to import the data.

Note this may take some time depending on your connection speed, the size of the sheet and amount of data it has to populate.

Wait until AssetNet is finished uploading. If the upload seems to stop after a while and you cannot see any data in the tables you can manually select refresh on your browser and the tables should appear populated.

Check the tables to ensure the data is correct and imported into the correct cells before submitting for review.
